Our Honorary member, Domenic A. Imbriaco Jr., 91, passed away Thursday at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.

 Born in Hazleton he was the son of the late Domenic and Ernestine (Spataro) Imbriaco and was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hazleton.
He was a 1943 graduate of Hazleton High School and was a member of the reunion committee.  He was Air Force Veteran during World War II as a flight engineer on a B-24 Liberator.  He started his career after the military as a carpenter with Fluri Brothers and in 1950 he decided to start his own masonry business.  He owned Domenic Imbriaco Masonry Construction for 40 years until 1990 and was known for his craftsmanship, and integrity to his clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
He was a member of the Hazleton Rotary Club, Elks Lodge, the Bricklayers Union, Civil Air Patrol, Reading Airplane Museum, Tuscarora Model Airplane Flyers Club, and Sister Cities.  He was a past board member of the United Children’s Home and a board member of the Salvation Army.  He was also a Democratic Committee Man
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife the former Margaret Sochko on January 14, 2015; son-in-law Ronald Grenkevich; and sister Ursula Durso.
He is survived by his loving and devoted children, daughters, Karen Grenkevich and her longtime companion, Larry Roman; Diane Gaudio and her husband, Joseph; and son, Mark Imbriaco; his beloved grandchildren, Kristin Grenkevich Kelly; Eric Grenkevich and his wife, Tiffany; and Joseph Gaudio; brother Paul Imbriaco and his wife Florence; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, at 9 A.M. from the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. in Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-9 P.M.
