Dick Wagener

With sadness, we note the passing of our PDG and great friend of our club Dick Wagener.

Richard John Wagener, 78, of Harleysville, formerly of Lehighton, passed away May 26, 2014 at The Abramson Center in Montgomery Twp. He was born on July 6, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Albert and Sarah (Durbin) Wagener.
 

He became a Rotarian in the 1970’s and soon after served as the President of the Newark, New Jersey Rotary Club, and later of the Lehighton Rotary Club. During retirement, Richard and Carol remained extremely active in Rotary, including a term as governor of Rotary District #7410 and as current members of the Harleysville Rotary Club.
 
 Family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Thursday, May 29, at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford (Franconia Township). Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 10AM on Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale. Interment will be private in Calvary Cemetery in Southfield, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to The Rotary Foundation, 14280 Collections Center Dr., Chicago, IL 60693.
