Harry E. Filbert Jr., 78, of 19th Street, Hazle Twp., a past president of the Rotary Club of Hazleton, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton on July 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Harry and Irene (Myers) Filbert and resided all of his life in Hazle Twp.
We extend our thoughts and prayers to the Filbert family at this very sad time.

He was a member St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Drums, and had been actively involved with the church his entire life.

He was a former board member of both Penn State Hazleton and Hazleton General Hospital. He was treasurer of the Gourmet Club, Hazleton. He was a member of the Masonic Temple, United Way, the Hazleton Rotary Club and various other organizations.
What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved the times when the entire family was together and was both a dedicated husband and father.
