Hazleton Rotarians Tony Columbo and Ella and President Paul Oswald joined by Harry Werkeiser from Hazleton Helps and Nathan Lee from Fugeaboutit2, were honored to serve dinner at the Mission of Divine Providence Shelter in Hazleton, helping meet an important community need.
The shelter provides a hot meal every night of the year to 10–20 individuals experiencing homelessness. When a gap in volunteer coverage emerged for the second Sunday of each month, our club was proud to step in and help ensure this vital service continues uninterrupted.
This is what Rotary is all about—neighbors helping neighbors and putting Service Above Self into action to strengthen our community.
