
Paul J. Oswald will be installed as the 106th President of Hazleton Rotary at the annual President’s Party to be held on Wednesday, June 24th, 6 p.m., Valley Country Club. This will be a cocktail reception in celebration of Mr. Oswald’s swearing in as president along with the induction of board members and officers.
Paul has been a member of Hazleton Rotary since February 2010 and was sponsored for membership by fellow Rotarian Lew Dryfoos.
Paul currently serves as president elect of the board of directors and has actively participated in the third-grade Dictionary Project, Salvation Army Kettle Project, spaghetti dinners and Wine & Beer Festival committee.
His goals for the year as president are to improve member satisfaction with service opportunities and engage newer members in projects within their first six months of membership.
A lifelong resident of Luzerne County, Paul is deeply committed to strengthening the community he calls home. His dedication to service extends beyond his professional responsibilities through active involvement in civic and charitable initiatives that improve the quality of life throughout the region.
Paul is Chief Operating Officer of the Luzerne Foundation bringing more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in both the nonprofit and private sectors. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for strategic planning, financial stewardship, organizational leadership and community engagement.
He is a graduate of Bishop Hafey High School and Flagler College and resides in Conyngham with his wife, Mary. They are the proud parents of three children; Benjamin, New York City; Jack, Savahhah, Georgia and Ella, a student at Moravian University.
In addition to Paul, the following Rotarians will be sworn into office: president elect-Stephen Seach, vice-president-Anne Frey, secretary-Lani Drobnock, treasurer -Patrick Owens, sergeant-at-arms-Pat Ward, and Immediate past resident-Joan Buffington.
Members of the Board will be Danielle Matarella, Jessica Spare, Michele Genetti, Neal DeAngelo, III, Amy Machita, Anna Gharghoury.
